This season, BaseHall spices up its culinary lineup with enticing new additions. Experience Swiss-Italian delights from Tai Hang's cherished neighbourhood joint, Nocino at BaseHall 1. On the other side, BaseHall 2 welcomes four new vendors: Twins Liangpi Limited shakes up taste buds with their spicy Sichuan 'cold skin' noodles; Don Bowls & Rolls, by the renowned Sushi Fujimoto, delivers fresh donburi and hand-rolls; CCT by Shop B serves up cha chan teng vibes with dishes like claypot mapo tofu and egg omelette rice with shrimp; and for those with a sweet tooth, Pinky Bakery offers all-natural muffins, bagels, and doughnuts. The Hong Kong Whisky Festival is set to return for its sixth iteration at InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong. Taking place on May 4 and 5, the two-day festival will spotlight over 1,100 different spirits from brands all over the world, and hold over 35 whisky masterclasses led by brand ambassadors and industry experts. Tickets to the whisky festival start from $188 each and are inclusive of a Glencairn whisky glass, as well as a commemorative lanyard. In honour of The St. Regis Hong Kong’s fifth anniversary, the hotel’s two restaurants – Rùn and  L’Envol – will join forces for two evenings during April and May to present unforgettable cross-cultural culinary experiences. During the collaborations, L’Envol’s culinary director, Olivier Elzer, and chef de cuisine Stephen Hsu will work alongside Rùn’s executive Chinese chef, Hung Chi-Kwong, and chef de cuisine Louis Kwan, as well as the hotel’s executive pastry chef, Steven Jin. The time-limited dining events will be held over two evenings, with the first iteration taking place at Rùn on April 25, followed by L’Envol on May 23. Lin Heung Tea House, known as Lin Heung Lau to Hongkongers, is one of the oldest traditional Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong, serving only dim sum during the day and main courses at night. After two rounds of closures, Lin Heung has announced their official reopening. They’ll once again be serving dim sum from bamboo steamers piled onto old-school trolleys, though some effort has also been made to modernise their offerings – trendy hand-shaken drinks will also be sold from their ground floor space.

After a five-year hiatus, Sake Walk returns to provide Hongkongers with an exciting lineup of exclusive sake-focused festivities from April 6 to 27. The festival will invite eight renowned Japanese sake breweries to hold masterclasses and tasting sessions at venues like Ami, Somm, The Aubrey, and Kaen Teppanyaki within Landmark. Duddell’s launches new dining events

One Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Duddell’s is fusing entertainment together with its latest F&B endeavours. On April 10, May 22, and June 19, the restaurant will be holding movie nights where guests can enjoy a range of casual cocktails and small bites like pan-fried shrimp toast with cheese or crispy bean curd with spiced salt ($348 per person) as they chill out and watch classic movies. To kick off the series, Duddell’s will be screening Mamma Mia on April 10 from 7pm to 10pm; only 30 guests will be able to join each movie night, so be sure to reserve your spot by emailing reservations@duddells.co.

Additionally, Duddell’s will be presenting night brunches ($638 per person) on April 20 and May 25. Guests can visit the restaurant to indulge in all-you-can-eat dim sum like shrimp dumplings, Peking duck, hot and sour soup with seafood, and plenty more; as well as sip on free-flow juice and drinks. In the mood for some bubbles? The Chinese restaurant also provides beverage packages from $998 and up for Champagne from brands such as Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, and Krug.

The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong’s restaurants, Tosca di Angelo and Tin Lung Heen, will be joining forces for the first time ever on April 19 for a four-hands dinner ($2,980 per person including non-alcoholic beverage pairing, $3,980 per person including wine pairing) to celebrate their respective achievements in the 2024 Michelin Guide for Hong Kong. Chef Angelo Aglianó and chef Paul Lau will each showcase their culinary expertise with dishes inspired by flavours of their hometowns. Savour delectable creations such as Busiate Trapanesi with langoustine and trumpet zucchini, double-boiled assorted air-dried seafood, turbot fillet with marinara broth and olives, braised beef chuck tail with tomato purée, and more. Following the positive responses of Shake Shack’s limited avocado bacon burgers in 2022, the American burger chain has announced that it’ll be returning as a permanent menu item! Customers can choose to enjoy thick slices of fresh avocado and applewood-smoked bacon with Angus beef patties in the Avocado Bacon burger ($74 for single patty, $99 for double patties), or with crispy chicken cutlets and pickles in the Avocado Bacon Chicken ($72). Additionally, customers will be able to add freshly sliced avocado to any Shake Shack burgers or sandwiches of their choice for an additional $12.

To celebrate the return of this widely popular menu item, Shake Shack has collaborated with local pin badge brand Perks to release three exclusive avocado and bacon-themed pins. From March 28 onwards, all customers who purchase any avocado burger along with a drink and snack on Shake Shack’s mobile platform will receive one random pin for free while stocks last.

Glenfiddich has partnered with several bartenders across Hong Kong to launch a series of guest shift evenings themed after the astrological zodiac signs. Each bartender will use the brand’s 12 year old scotch whisky and 12 year old sherry to create cocktails inspired by the four elements – Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water – found in the zodiac signs. Following their first guest shift in April, Glenfiddich will launch the second guest shift on May 2 at Lemna of the Alchemist, where award-winning head mixologist Jeffery Liu from Club Manhattan will be joined by bartender Angus Woo from Draft Land to create three cocktails inspired by earth signs – Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. Central-based American smokehouse Smoke & Barrel will be holding a series of pop-ups at some of Hong Kong’s most popular drinking dens, where they’ll be sharing lip-smacking BBQ dishes for diners to enjoy as they drink the night away. The smokehouse will pop up at casual restobar The Shady Acres on April 25 to serve hearty comfort food like pulled pork with Carolina-style barbecue sauce and classic mac & cheese. Finally, Smoke & Barrel will make an appearance at Cantonese bar concept Kinsman on May 14 and present their American spin on traditional char siu. What’s more, each participating bar will also provide a selection of exclusive cocktails to complement Smoke and Barrel’s BBQ creations during the pop-ups.

This April, one Michelin-starred Neapolitan restaurant, Estro, and popular Roman-inspired cocktail bar, Bar Leone, will be joining forces for two exclusive collaborations to offer an array of  exquisite Italian dishes and drinks. The collaborations will kick off on April 2 at Estro, where diners will get to savour a six-course menu ($1,280) made especially for the event. If you prefer something more casual, Bar Leone will wrap up the collaborative events on April 28 at their cosy venue. This season, Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic unveils a tasting menu featuring the chef's signature dishes for lunch (starting at $888) or dinner (starting at $2480), crafted with the finest spring produce. Begin with a trio of delicate amuse-bouche: mimolette tartlet and dill jelly, squid cracker and squid tagliatelle with black garlic mayo and Thai basil, and sweetcorn pie tee with mezcal and mint. Then, follow with exquisite Yunnan peas paired with rosat geranium leaf and Oscietra caviar. The chef's signature dish, Les Berlingots ASP, features pasta parcels filled with 24-month aged Comté and voatsiperifery pepper, served with champignons de Paris consommé infused with tangerine Pu’er tea.

This April, Wan Chai’s century-old Woo Cheong Pawn Shop is set to reopen as Sophia Loren House. The four-storey monument will be revitalised with a brand new look, which celebrates the iconic Italian actress’ legacy and captures the spirit of ‘la dolce vita’ made famous by Italian film director Federico Fellini in the 60s and 70s. The grand reopening of the Pawn Shop will dazzle visitors with four brand-new venues. Step into Sophia Loren Pizzeria, a casual Neapolitan-style pizza restaurant; or Casa Sophia Loren, a sophisticated Italian eatery that dishes up classic seafood plates.

The Magistracy is set to enter its second phase, with the anticipated debut of Prince and the Peacock. The new venue is a lavish Indian restaurant that showcases the colonial period of India and its princely states – regions within India governed by a sovereign monarchy in alliance with the British Raj. Helmed by chef Palash Mitra from New Punjab Club, Prince and the Peacock will present diners with modern interpretations of Indian regional dishes dating from various eras of the country’s history. Dishes will include biryanis influenced by Nawabs of Awadh, spice-rich curries from Rajasthan, saffron-infused dishes of Kashmir, and plenty more.

This exclusive range is an alcoholic take on a beloved Hong Kong classic beverage, and harmoniously combines a vodka highball base with the zesty aroma of lemon as well as the subtle bitter flavours of black tea. 

Young Master's lemon tea highballs are priced at $20 each, and are available for purchase at select Circle K stores across Hong Kong.
