She’s played Coachella, she’s written a song about Coachella and she’s crafted a whole vibe that’s basically synonymous with Coachella. And now Lana Del Rey finds herself set to headline the first night of this year’s music festival.
Here’s everything we know—and a few things we predict—about her performance before she takes the stage in Indio.
When is Lana Del Rey at Coachella 2024?
She’ll be performing on Friday, April 12, during the fest’s first weekend, as well as on Friday, April 19, during the second.
What time will she come on stage?
11:20pm on Friday—at least that’s the scheduled time for the first weekend of the fest. That time is always subject to change for the second weekend, so we’ll update this story accordingly as we move between weekends of the fest. For either date, note that there’s a 1am curfew (though one that the festival has sometimes cruised past).
Any news on the setlist?
We won’t know until she actually wraps up her performance, of course, but we can get a pretty good idea from combing through setlist.fm. Poring over the past few years of setlists, “Video Games,” “Blue Jeans,” “Born to Die” and “Summertime Sadness” make it into just about every show. As far as some wildcards, though she’s seemingly never played it live before, surely she’ll perform “Coachella – Woodstock in My Mind,” right? It’s also worth mentioning that Lasso, Del Rey’s upcoming country-inspired album, is due out in September, so there’s always a chance we’ll hear a preview track or two from that. And psst: If we can believe some of the Coachella sleuths over on reddit, it looks like there’s a chance Billie Eilish could show up during the set.
Has Lana Del Rey performed at Coachella before?
Yes, way back in 2014, just ahead of the release of her third album, Ultraviolence. She’s put out a half-dozen studio albums since then, though, so plan on this performance being remarkably different from her appearance a decade ago. Moreover, while she had pretty good placement in the lineup back then (the second-to-last slot at the Outdoor Theatre, between Neutral Milk Hotel and Disclosure), this time around she’ll be headlining the larger Coachella Stage.

What’s the rest of the Coachella 2024 schedule like?
As far as the two main stages, Del Rey will follow Peso Pluma and Justice on Friday—and technically play at the same time as Steve Angello, who plays the dance-focused Sahara tent at midnight.
